Client Overview
Everest Locksmith is a BC-licensed, insured locksmith operating 24/7 across Vancouver, Burnaby and Metro Vancouver, covering residential, commercial and automotive work. The business is NASTF verified for secure vehicle access and cuts and programs transponder keys at the vehicle rather than sending customers to a dealer.
Challenges
Locksmith search is an emergency category. The customer is standing outside a door on a phone, and they call whoever looks credible first — there is no research phase. It is also a category crowded with unlicensed operators and bait pricing, where the norm is to advertise a low number and revise it on arrival. The site had to establish licensing immediately, commit to real prices in public, and rank across a dozen separate Metro Vancouver municipalities without collapsing into thin doorway pages.
Our Solution
- Built on our own sd/sd-child WordPress framework with Kadence Blocks, so the project started from a tested, performance-tuned foundation instead of a blank theme.
- Published actual price ranges on the page — daytime lockout, rekeying per cylinder, replacement car key — in place of a “call for a quote” wall, with a firm price quoted on the phone before dispatch.
- Made the licence verifiable rather than merely claimed: a dedicated BC licence verification page explaining the Security Services Act requirement, a licensed-and-insured page, and NASTF vehicle verification presented as a credential.
- Built ten genuine service-area pages — Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Shore, New Westminster, Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities, Surrey and Delta, Langley and White Rock, and UBC — each with local content rather than a city name find-and-replace.
- Split the services into emergency, residential, commercial and automotive, each explaining what actually happens when you call and why non-destructive entry leaves the door intact.
- Implemented Locksmith, GeoCircle, OfferCatalog, EducationalOccupationalCredential, GovernmentOrganization and FAQPage schema, so search engines and AI assistants can confirm the licence and read the coverage radius directly.
- Built mobile-first throughout, because effectively every lockout search happens on a phone, outdoors, on cellular.
Results & Impact
- Publishing real prices removes the biggest hesitation in an emergency call and pre-qualifies the caller before the phone rings.
- Licence verification and NASTF pages give a checkable answer to “is this operator legitimate” — the question that decides the call in this category.
- Ten service-area pages put the business in front of municipality-level searches across Metro Vancouver instead of competing only on “locksmith Vancouver”.
- Locksmith and GeoCircle schema state the service radius explicitly, so AI assistants answering “locksmith near me in Burnaby” have the coverage in machine-readable form.
